Behind the Sconeman

Matt Taggert is the owner and founder of Sconeman. Matt has been a Mt. Lebanon (suburb of Pittsburgh) resident for over 10 years after moving from Chicago. It was the great Chicago bakeries that fueled Matt through the long days of working at a large financial institution and long nights while attending law school. After receiving encouragement from friends and family, Matt turned his love of the scone into a passion, and his passion into a business, by founding Sconeman in January 2024. Matt is happily married to his wife Kristen and they are otherwise busy raising their two wonderful daughters.
